Prescott-Russell District 32 is very privileged to be able to be of service to others in our community. The Retired Teachers of Ontario – District 32 Prescott-Russell were successful in obtaining a $2500 donation from the Provincial RTO Committee “Project Service to Others”. This donation will be used by the Communiy Laundry CO-OP(www.communitylaundrycoop.ca) to provide easy access, affordable laundry facilities to low-income residents of Ottawa. Along with clean clothes, members enjoy a sense of community and a network of support. The members of District 32 added $500 to the provincial donation to present a total of $3000. Anne Marie Farnworth, President of District 32, thanked Lynne Current and her team for taking the time to submit the application to the provincial RTO office. The presentation of the cheque was made by Caroll Carkner, RTO District 32, Past President, at the District 32 Membership Fall Meeting on October 15, 2015 in Hawkesbury.
